OUR VALUES

We welcome new members, and pride ourselves on a diverse membership base.
We offer Aquatics for Life to members from 4-74.
From polo in winter to sea swimming in high summer. We even swim on Christmas Day.
Established in 1929, North Dublin Winter Swimming Club is one of the city's most fabled clubs.
Whether playing polo or partaking in major sea swims, our members love to compete.
It's an amateur sport so if it's not fun, what's the point?!

ELLA LANGHAVE

Ella plays for our u19 & Senior Women’s teams. She is an Irish u19 International, a table official at National League games, and also aspires to referee at National level. She trains as hard as anyone in the club. Our club is built on a work ethic and an appetite to compete.

LUKA VUKSIC

Luka is the captain of our Senior Men’s team. He’s a serious competitor who trains with a smile on his face. He is equally at home in the pool in winter and the sea in summer – the Adriatic Sea that is! Our club is built on welcoming members from all over the world.

SARAH MORTIMER

Sarah’s father is the late Liam Mortimer, ‘club royalty’. Last summer the elements initially beat her in swimming the Channel. Undeterred, she quietly re-registered and swam it a few weeks later. Our club is built on strong inter-generational family connections, and resilience.

PAUL BYRNE

A notable polo player in his day, Paul was fundamental in getting the womens programme up and running. He is a former Liffey Swim winner and was Leinster Open Sea Swimmer of the Year in 2023. Our club is built upon volunteerism and a lifelong love of aquatics.
